Just for being a doctor,
Just for earning my livelihood
I received blessings today
from a kindred spirit.
out of the blue,
kicking out the blues
so what if momentarily?
shiny whitecoats
touching off fantasies
professors and house surgeons
like a lion and his courtiers
and no altruisms motivating
did I step into healing
never shall forget
whitecoat on my shoulder
the puprosefull strides
into pulse polio programme
1995 batch's contribution to the country
never did I forget
the humiliations born
by unfortunates unrecognisingly
just because of poverty
to train me "earn my livelihood"
a timely reminder
to one who has not forgotten
a gentle reminder
of what the white coats mean.
so I renew my oaths.
దైవాంశోద్భవ సద్గుణాలము, మహద్దాక్షిణ్యమున్, వైద్యమున్,
సేవా భావ ప్రపూర్ణ చిత్తమును, రాశీ భూత దైవత్వమున్,
ధీ, వాఙ్మానస సద్వివేక ధనమున్, తేజంబు, గాంభీర్యమున్,
భావాతీత విశేష భాగ్యములివే భావింప నీయందునన్.
అడగక వచ్చిన దీవెన
అడుగంటని సిరియునుమరి యనుపమ యశమున్
బడుగుల మరువని మదియున్
తడుమని రాముని కవళమె తెలిసిన నార్యా.
