My confused "ism"

రాజా వారి రాచవీధిలో
ఉమ్మున దుమ్మున తిండిని వెదికే
బిచ్చగత్తెనూ పోటీ కుక్కను
చూసనిపిస్తుంది అభివృద్దేదని

సాఫ్టువేర్లూ ఎన్నారైలూ
ఆశపోతులై భూమిని కుమ్మా
ధరలు మెరుపులై నింగిన మెరయ
చతికిలబడ్డా చూపులడగవె
నవభారత మెరుపులివాయని

తళుకు బెళుకుల తాజ్ మహళ్ళూ
లెక్కకు మించిన ధరవీ దార్లూ
"లక్షకే" వచ్చే కార్లొక వైపు
కూటికోసమై సంతతి అమ్మకాలూ

"కిలో బియ్యం రెండ్రూపయలకా
సస్టైనబిలిటీ లేదనే" వాళ్ళూ
వరుసగా పది రోజులుపవాసం చాలు
లోక సత్తాకెందుకు పట్టం రాదో తెలిసేందుకు

రేపటి మా బిడ్డల తరమెవ్వడు చూసాడోయ్
బిడ్డల భవితవ్యం తినే గద్దలమేలేవోయ్
అవును...నేటి ఆకలి, నేటి గూడు, నేటి రోగం
ఇవే మా ఇజం, మతం...వాటికే మా "మత్ దానం"

కలకత్తాలో కమ్మ్యూనిస్టులు
ఇంతకాలం రాజ్యమేలెం చేసారని అరిచేవాడా
ఆ రాష్ట్రం "ఏం ఏం ఆర" లూ, "ఐ ఏం ఆర" లూ
మన రాష్ట్రంలో అవే గణాంకాలూ
కనపడలేదా తేడాలూ

అభివృద్ధి అంటే
సాఫ్ట్ వేర్లూ చాంద్రాయనాలూ కావు!
"సర్వ"జన సుఖజీవన పయనాలే
అభివృద్ది అసలైన సూచకాలు.

As a result of a discussion with few of my friends regarding the role of communists in general and in WB in particualr, vis -a- vis DEVELOPMENT, the following stats were an eye opener for me. Though I do acknowldge the following
ఇజాల రణంలో, విప్లవ వ్రణంలో
ఊపిరాడక మునకలు వేసే
అభాగ్యునే నేనయితే
