"మన దేశం ఇంకో రెండొందల ఏళ్లు తీసుకుంటుంది ఈ దేశం స్థితికి రావటానికి. మన దేశం చాలా వెనకపడి ఉంది "

ఎప్పుడూ వినే మాటలే. ఇంకా ఆవేశం బ్రతికుంది అనుకోలా. 

"ఏ విధంగా మన దేశం వెనకపడింది?" అడక్కుండా ఉండలేకపోయ్యాను.

"ప్రతీ మనిషికి తను చెయ్యాలనుకున్నది చేసే అవకాశం, అది చేస్తే సమాజ ధిక్కారం లేకపోవటం లేవు మన దేశంలో. గెస్, లెస్బియన్స్ ఇలా ఎంత మంది మన సమాజంలో వారి వారి అభిప్రాయాలను గౌరవించి తిరస్కారం లేకుండా బ్రతకగలుగుతున్నారు?"

"అదే...వ్యక్తిగత స్వేచ్చే.....అడ్వాన్స్ద్ అని ఎందుకనుకోవాలి?"

"ప్రతీ మనిషికి తాను చెయ్యాలనుకున్నది చేయ్యటంలోనే ఆనందం ఉంది. ఆ ఆనందం, స్వేచ్చ ఇచ్చిన నాడే అది పురోగమనమవుతుంది."

"అన్నది ఇప్పటి పాశ్చాత్య ఆలోచన...దాన్ని వేరే దేశం ఎందుకు పాటించాలి?"

"ఎందుకంటే మన దేశం ఇప్పుడు గ్లోబల్ సిటిజన్ కాబట్టి తాను గ్లోబల్గా ఉండాలంటే మెజారిటీని అంగీకరించాలి అంతే."

"మెజారిటీ అంటే  సంఖ్యా బలమేనా?"

"అవును"

"అయితే ఈ ఆలోచనా ధోరణి ప్రపంచంలో మెజారిటీ ఎలా అయ్యింది? ప్రపంచ జనాభాలో చైనా, భారత ఉప ఖండం, ఆఫ్రికా....ఈ మూడు సంస్కృతులను కలిపి చూడండి...వీటిని మించిన సంఖ్యా బలం ఎవ్వరికుంది? మరి ఆ సంఖ్యా బలం ప్రకారం ఇలా విచ్చల విడి వ్యక్తిగత స్వేచ్చ మెజారిటీ అభిప్రాయం కాదె"

"ఆ.....కాని ఈ దేశాలన్నీ చదువు లేని దేశాలు. చదువుకున్న జనం వ్యక్తిగత స్వేచ్చను కోరుకుంటారు. కాబట్టి చదువుకున్న సభ్య సమాజాలయిన ఈ దేశాలు ఏది ఒప్పుకుంటే అదే మెజారిటీ...సంఖ్యా బలం లేకపోయినా".......బుర్ర గోక్కుంటూ కొంచం ఆలోచించి వచ్చిన మాట 

"I have heard these before.......in accounts of christians civilizing Pagans.....saying that you are not civilized because you are not "Educated". Hence our efforts to civilize you"....so were lost many civilisations, cultures, religions which were flourishing before. So you mean to say we are uncivilized because the majority of Africans, Indian sub-continent and chinese are not "Educated" in western sense?

"అవును".

"Don't you think the individual freedom has gone to the other extremes in your so called advanced civilisations?"

"లేదు."

"నీ తండ్రి ఎవ్వరో చెప్పుకోలేని దురదృష్టం, నీ పిల్లడు స్కూల్లో ఎప్పుడు మత్తు పదార్థాలకు అలవాటు పడతాడో తెలియని దిగజారుడుతనం, ఎంత గతి తప్పుతున్నా నీ స్వంత పిల్లలల మీదకు పోలీసు కంప్లైంట్ ఇవ్వగాలవే కాని తల్దంద్రులుగా భాద్యత నిర్వహించలేకపోవటం.....ఇవన్నీ?"

"ఒక విధంగా నువ్వన్నట్టు సామాన్యీకరించటం తప్పే. కాని . బస్సులో, నా మీద, ఒక డాక్టర్ మీద, తిన్న ఆపిల్ ముక్కల తుక్కులను విసిరి నా పక్క నుంచి లేచి వెళ్ళిపోతూ I don't want to get diseases from you" అంటూ చీత్కరింబడినపుడు ఇది గుర్తు రాలేదులే. పదేళ్ళ పిల్లలు కాదు ఆ మాటలు అంటున్నది వాళ్ళు ఇంట్లో  పెద్ద వాళ్ళు అలా అనుకునేది. covert racismఅనుకున్న నాది   జేనేరలైసెషన్లే. అది తప్పంటున్నావు, Tell me one thing do you really think that the exclusive white neghbourhood that you live in, the neghbourhood that you chose to be away from "the bloody indian ghettos we all asians create" as your wife put it so elegantly, do you really think that you are welcomed whole heartedly there? ఆవేశాన్ని ఆపుకోలేక హద్దులు మీరి అతిధ్యం ఇచ్చిన వారినే దూషిస్తున్నాను అన్నది ఒక పక్క అర్థమవుతూనే ఉన్నా ఆపుకోలేకపోయ్యాను.

"అలా కాదు ఎక్కడైనా సమాజంలో తప్పులు ఉంటాయి." 

"ఇది నిజమయిన పాయింట్. సో నీ వ్యవస్థలో తప్పొప్పులు ఉన్నాయి, ఉంటాయి మాలోనూ ఉన్నాయి ఉంటాయి. 

మరి ఒక వ్యవస్థ వెనుకబడి ఉంది అని ఎలా అంటావు?".....................

చర్చ అక్కడితో ఆగిపోయింది నా ఆవేశం హద్దు మీరుతోంది అని గమనించిన ఇంటి ఆడపడుచులు టాపిక్ డైవర్ట్ చెయ్యటంతో.

why do "educated" people, stick to one point of view always?

Why is it that people ignore longitudinal view for sake of cross sectional view?

why does it escape us that the pendulum always keep swinging and that one angle of the pendulum is no superior than any other angle of the pendulum?
